HTK Scaffolding Ltd is the data controller for the personal information described in this policy. That means we decide how it is used and we are responsible for looking after it.

What we collect
We only ask for what we need to price your job, arrange the work and keep the site safe.
- Quote form: your name, phone number and the postcode of the job. Optionally your email address, the property address, the type of scaffold and a description of the work.
- Compliance pack form: your name, company, email address and, optionally, a phone number and the documents you need.
- Calls, emails, WhatsApp and Instagram messages: whatever you choose to send us, including photographs of the property.
- When we carry out work: the site address, site contacts, access arrangements, inspection and handover records, invoices and payment records.
- Website use: if you allow analytics cookies, information about the pages you visit. See our Cookie Policy.
We do not need, and please do not send us, sensitive information such as health details, and we never ask for bank or card details through this website.

Marketing
We will only send you marketing if you tick the optional marketing box on one of our forms, or otherwise tell us you would like it. Ticking it is never a condition of getting a quote. You can opt out at any time by replying to any message or emailing info@htkscaffolding.co.uk.
Photographs and site information
Photographs you send us are used to plan and price the scaffold. They are kept with your enquiry and are not published. We only use photographs of completed jobs on our website or social media where they do not identify you or your address, or where you have agreed.
Who we share it with
We never sell your information. We share it only where we need to:
- FormSubmit, the service that delivers our website forms to our inbox
- Netlify, which hosts this website
- our email and phone providers, and WhatsApp or Instagram if you contact us that way
- Google, for website analytics, but only if you accept analytics cookies
- the local council, where a pavement licence or permit is needed for your job
- our accountants, insurers, professional advisers and, if needed, subcontracted scaffolders working on your job
- the police, courts or regulators, where the law requires it
Transfers outside the UK
Some of these providers store data in the United States or the European Economic Area. Where that happens we rely on UK adequacy regulations, the UK Extension to the EU US Data Privacy Framework, or the International Data Transfer Agreement, so your information stays protected to UK standards.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries and quotations that do not go ahead: up to 12 months from our last contact confirm retention period
- Job, inspection, handover and financial records: 6 years after the job ends, to meet tax and insurance requirements confirm retention period
- Marketing contact details: until you opt out
After that we delete the information or make sure it can no longer identify you.
How we keep it secure
This website is served over HTTPS, so form submissions are encrypted in transit. Enquiries arrive in a password protected business inbox that only HTK staff can access, and we remove photographs and details from phones and shared folders when a job is closed. confirm internal handling matches this
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask us to:
- give you a copy of the information we hold about you
- correct anything that is wrong
- delete your information where we no longer need it
- restrict or object to how we use it
- send your information to you or another organisation in a portable format
- stop using it for marketing, or withdraw any consent you have given
